“ I care not what others think of what I do, but I care very much about what I think of what I do: That is character! ”
— Theodore Roosevelt
“Parents can only give good advice or put them on the right paths, but the final forming of a person’s character lies in their own hands.” – Anne Frank
Far too often I think we rely on the image that others have of us or rely on the hopes that others have placed on us to use as guidelines for how we see ourselves and how we choose to live our lives. We all need to be reminded that although brought up and molded by our households or our communities, everything that we are capable of and all of the paths we should take in life are contained within us–just waiting for us to realize our own true potential and purpose.
