Change Your View, Make Your Life Count

“The man who views the world at 50 the same as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life.”

– Muhammad Ali

Choose Your Rating Wisely

“Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.” – Judy Garland

Great day, all! Today’s Soul Food is common sense wisdom from one of the most beloved talents we’ve “known”. Who knows the value of staying true to yourself, better than Judy?? Enjoy!

Rethink Wealth

“Everyday is a bank account, and time is our currency. No one is rich, no one is poor, we’ve got 24 hours each.” ― Christopher Rice

Today’s Soul Food is fitting for a Friday.  As we embark on our weekends–and some of us cannot help but to focus on what we don’t have and what we wish we had–we have to remember that we create our own wealth. I know this concept is difficult for most of us (especially the red-blooded Americans who grew up being taught to focus on money with every thought, want, need and dream) to wrap most of our minds around but we must remember that no matter what economic “status”, we are all in the same station in life.  Never allow others or the material possessions of others make you think that you lack anything. In the end, what one owns has no relevance to how fulfilled and how worthy they are.

I think Oprah Winfrey said it best:

“Everyone wants to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.”
