“Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it?… If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers…don’t you think He’ll attend to you?” – the gospel of Matthew 6:28-30, The Message
This passage reminds me of the old song, ‘His Eye is on the Sparrow’. How many times do we need to be reminded that if the Creator/Great Spirit/Heavenly Father/God/Allah/Great I Am can focus “His” time, energy and love on even the smallest of beings in this world then surely, we need to be confident that “He” can do the same for us? Remind yourself daily.
“Parents can only give good advice or put them on the right paths, but the final forming of a person’s character lies in their own hands.” – Anne Frank
Far too often I think we rely on the image that others have of us or rely on the hopes that others have placed on us to use as guidelines for how we see ourselves and how we choose to live our lives. We all need to be reminded that although brought up and molded by our households or our communities, everything that we are capable of and all of the paths we should take in life are contained within us–just waiting for us to realize our own true potential and purpose.
“If you surrender completely to the moments as they pass, you live more richly those moments.” – Anne Morrow Lindbergh
Well, I am back to sharing words of inspiration from all sources of wisdom that I encounter… Great little message below. ENJOY!
“Tell you one lesson I learned, if you wanna be something in life; you ain’t gonna get it unless you give a little sacrifice. Ooh sometimes before you smile you got to cry; you need a heart that’s filled with music, if you use it you can fly” – The Roots featuring Nelly Furtado, ‘ Sacrifice’ (audio link below)
Love = Sacrifice. God is Love
Definitely worth reading..and sharing!
“You can’t look at the beauty of fall foliage stacked upon each other, creating a visual symphony of color & be unaware of the presence of God.” – Morgan Garriss
